This platform was introduced to facilitate JAMB candidates who already know their UTME scores and confirmed the cut-off marks of their preferred institutions, allowing them to make necessary changes to their course and institution choices based on their UTME results.

For candidates who scored below 180 in the JAMB 2023 Examination and initially applied to a competitive institution, this is an opportunity to apply to a less competitive institution, improving chances of admission.

Similarly, candidates with lower scores (199 or lower) in popular/competitive degree courses such as Medicine and Surgery, Engineering, etc., should consider applying for a change of course.

Before Applying for JAMB Change of Course or Institution:

Please read the following crucial points before changing your course or institution on the JAMB portal:

1. Have a clear understanding of the course and/or institution adjustments you wish to make.
2. Research to ensure the institution you are transferring to does not have a high JAMB cut-off mark.
3. You can switch one or all of your courses/institutions at once.
4. Note that once you’ve submitted the form, you won’t be able to edit anything (unless JAMB has updated this).
5. Select a course or institution corresponding to your chosen subject combination.
6. Ensure you have at least two to four options, as some schools may have numerous applicants, especially for popular courses.

How to Apply for JAMB Change of Institution/Course 2024:

According to credible sources, applying for JAMB change of course and institution can only be done at jamb accredited Computer Based Test (CBT) Centers. Follow these steps:

1. Go to your JAMB Portal and log in.
2. Select “Registration (only for 2024)” from the drop-down menu.
3. Choose “2024 UTME Data Correction” from the drop-down menu.
4. Select “Make Payment” and navigate to the “Choice of Institution/Course Correction” option.
5. Choose “Pay Now” and take note of the Transaction ID on the Confirmation Page.
6. Click “Continue,” choose a payment method, and follow the respective steps for Mastercard, Visa, or PAGA/POCKETMONI.
7. After payment, provide your exam year and JAMB registration number.
8. Enter all information correctly and choose your preferred course/institution and second choices.
9. Click “Submit” to complete your application.

How much is Change of Institution/Course form?

The cost of the JAMB change of course form is two thousand five hundred naira (N2,500.00). This fee covers the alteration of course and data rectification.

Final Thoughts:

Take note of the following:

1. Avoid applying for a change of institution or course to institutions where you have already completed your Post-UTME.
2. You can switch one or all of your courses/institutions at once.
3. Once submitted, the change of course and/or institution form cannot be modified, except for a change of course and institution, which can be done twice.
4. Ensure you have at least four options in case your preferred one is unavailable.
